Mitsui Fudosan, Meiji Jingu, the Japan Sport Council and Itochu Corporation have been developing the facilities of the Jingu Gaien District Category I Urban Redevelopment Project one after another, starting with the demolition of the Meiji Jingu Second Baseball Stadium in March 2023. Overall completion is scheduled for 2036.
The site is in Kita-Aoyama 1-chome and 2-chome, Minato-ku, and Kasumigaoka-machi, Shinjuku-ku. Main uses include a rugby stadium, baseball stadium, hotel, offices, serviced apartments, an indoor ball-game arena, shops, cultural exchange facilities and plazas.
