The Roppongi 5-chome West District Category I Urban Redevelopment Project is a large-scale redevelopment in central Tokyo covering the area west of Roppongi 5-chome, Minato-ku, next to Roppongi Hills. The developers are Mori Building and Sumitomo Realty & Development. It covers the west side of Toriizaka, which runs north-south through Roppongi 5-chome, with a total floor area of about 1,050,000 sqm, an unprecedented scale for central Tokyo.
Two high-rise towers are planned, “70 floors above ground, 327 m high” and “288 m high”, far exceeding the scale of Roppongi Hills Mori Tower. The project, also called “Roppongi Hills 2”, is attracting great attention in terms of real estate development and investment around Roppongi, Minato-ku.
